Emmanuel is Architect and Energy Efficiency Subject Matter Expert at the IBM Client Center in Montpellier, France. He is involved in international projects (Europe, South Africa, Asia-Pacific) around Data Center, Green IT and Sustainability aspects. One recent challenge was a major retrofitting of an existing production data center: the implementation of air containment and the use of free cooling. In line with the latest technologies in managing data centers, this data center is now a great asset for the clients. He also helps customers through workshops to optimize their existing Data Centers from IT to non-IT sides and build Energy Efficiency roadmaps. Delivering a holistic approach, he sees the power and cooling issue at the data center level.
